PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a durable fixing part of outer tube of endoscope that is not dissolved or damaged by high-pressure steam or sterilizing agent when performing sterilization by peracetic acid sterilizing agent, hydrogen peroxide sterilizing agent or autoclave. SOLUTION: In a outer tube fixing section of an endoscope, the ends of flexible outer tube 8, 14 are tightly bound with thread 17, 22 and fixed on the inner member, wherein the thread 17, 22, is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber.
