PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axle sealing bearing unit reducing the rate of rise in temperature of an oil slinger or a rear lid caused by sliding of the seal lip portion of a seal against a seal sliding portion, and the rate of rise in temperature within a bearing. SOLUTION: The axle sealing bearing unit for rolling stock comprises an inner ring 2 having fitted therein one end of an axle 10 to which a wheel is fixed, a rolling element 3 freely rotationally sandwiched between the inner ring 2 and an outer ring 1 concentric with the inner ring, the ring-shaped rear lid 18 disposed in contact with the wheel side end face of the inner ring 2, and the ring-shaped oil slinger 15 disposed in contact with the side end face of the inner ring 2 opposite to the rear lid 18. Either or both of the rear lid 18 and the oil slinger 15 are formed on their overall outer peripheral surfaces with a heat radiating portion 18a (15a) shaped to increase their surface areas.
