PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display element storage container which is highly efficient in storage and not bulky. SOLUTION: The inside of a peripheral frame 4 of the storage container 1 is a mounting region 2 which is opened upward. The region 2 includes a first slope 5 where a body of a display element 11 (envelope 13) is placed on an upper surface and a second slope 6 where an external lead 12 is placed on an upper surface. The first slope 15 is formed with first holding protrusions each two of which hold the right and left of the envelope, a second holding protrusion 8 for holding a lower rim of the body of the element 11, and a third holding protrusion 9 for holding an upper rim of the element 11 placed under it. Another display element storage container 1 is overlaid on the first storage container 1 with the display element mounted. Since the elements 11 can be stacked in multiple stages while being slantly mounted, numerous elements 11 can be stored inside a plurality of the stacked storage containers 1 with good storage efficiency. In addition, since the elements 11 are reliably pressed by the holding protrusions 7, 8, 9 from multiple directions, they do not rattle inside.
