POSITION DETECTOR FOR MOVING BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the position detection of a moving body capable of cheaply and exactly detecting a position. SOLUTION: For one moving period of a moving body between the rise point or the fall point of signal continuously outputted from an optical slit sensor, the time of a period is measured with a moving period measurement means 7. With this period measured by the moving period measurement means 7 and the previous period held in a register 8, the time for generating position information timing signal generation compensating the velocity fluctuation of the moving body is operated with an operator 9. After elapsing the time operated with this operator 9, position information timing signal is generated by a timing signal generation means 10 as position information of the moving body.
