PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition plug or flame detector the electrode member of which can be fixed easily firmly to its insulator. SOLUTION: An ignition plug 1 is provided with an electrode member 30 and an insulator 10 having a hole 11 into which the member 30 is inserted and constituted by fixing the member 30 to the insulator 10 by inserting the member 30 into the hole 11 and filling up an adhesive sump 20 provided in the hole 11 with an adhesive 50. A rotation stopping section 33 is installed to the part of the member 30 positioned in the sump 20.
