PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subscriber metallic cable introduction structure for an overhead ONU by which the subscriber metallic cable can be introduced into/removed from the overhead ONU easily. SOLUTION: A metallic cable 5 which is terminated by a subscriber connector 6 is introduced into the moisture-proof housing of an overhead ONU through one (for instance 32c) of introduction holes arranged in a rubber seal 3 provided near the contact point between the housing and the cover. A slit 33c reaching the introduction hole 32c is formed in the upper surface of the rubber seal 3. If the rubber seal 3 is bent as shown in the figure, the line-shaped slit 33c is opened into a fan shape and the cable 5 can be fitted to the introduction hole 32c. Since the respective circumferences of the introduction holes 32 are thinned in circular shapes, the cables 5 can be fitted to the introduction holes 32 easily. Therefore, the metallic cables 5 can be installed easily after the cables are terminated by connectors. |
