<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat cable connector which can be easily attached to a main substrate of a flexible printed board. SOLUTION: A flat cable connector comprises a contact 2, one end is a terminal 22 contacted with a flexible printed board FPC and the other end is a substrate contact part 23 press-contacted with a main printed board PCB, a housing 3 in which plurality of contacts 2 are arranged in parallel with each other so that the terminal 22 is placed in an insertion hole 31 and the substrate contact 23 is place in a contact hole 32, a cover 4 which can be freely attached to or detached from the insertion hole 31 and pressed in the insertion hole 31 together with the flexible printed board FPC for making the terminal 22 contact the flexible printed board FPC, and a boss 35 which is erected from the surface of the housing 3 at a side where the substrate contact 23 is projected and is engaged with a boss hole BH of the main printed board PCB for fixing the housing 3 to the main printed board PCB. The substrate contact part 23 of the contact 2 can be elastically deformed when press-contacted with the main printed board PCB.</p> |
