摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain proper charging and discharging of a battery and maintain the performance of the battery. SOLUTION: This battery controller detects the voltage, current, and temperature of each of cells comprising a battery back (S100) to decide to which of the charging and discharging conditions of each cell belongs, out of a proper region, a warning region, a prohibited region, and an excessive region (S102). When it belongs to the warning region over a deciding time tw, a warning as such is outputted (S110,112). When it belongs to the prohibited region or the excessive region, failure is outputted (S122,132) and a circuit is cut off by cutting off an inverter circuit and turning off a relay (S128,134) to stop a power exchange between the battery and a load. As a result, any of the cells comprising the battery can be prevented from being charged/discharged under the charging or discharging condition belonging to the prohibited region or the excessive region, thus it is possible to prevent the degradation of the battery or drop in performance thereof.
