PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analysis method for obtaining a clearer result than a visual inspection judgment as in the agarose plate method and for rapidly determining apolipoprotein A-I concentration in tear with high sensitivity with a kit being marketed currently, and a method for easily and simply detecting diabetic retinopathy by inspecting the eyeground. SOLUTION: In the analysis method, an immunological method being selected from a group consisting of the latex flocculation method, the nephelometry, and the immunochromatography method is used. In the detection method, apolipoprotein A-I in tear is analyzed by the analysis method.
