PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate inserting and removing of a storage medium such as an IC card. SOLUTION: There is formed a card holding section 42 and 43 for holding an IC card 1 comprising a holder 22 movably mounted between the first position for inserting the IC card 1 into and removing the same from a chassis 21 and the second position for mounting the IC card 1, a connector 52 provided on the holder 22 to which a terminal section 3 of the IC card 1 is connected when the holder 22 is in the first position, and a control member 61 having a control hole 66 engaged with an engaging projection 70 formed on the chassis 21 for controlling the transfer of the holder 22. The control member 61 is disengaged from the control hole 66 and the engaging section 70 of the chassis 21 when the IC card 1 is inserted into the holder 22 located in the first position with the terminal section 3 in the normal state, thereby allowing the transfer of the holder 22 to the second position. |
