PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate repairing and replacement of a contaminated or damaged hearth in a heating furnace without dismantling the furnace and further provide a guiding means capable of performing a smooth movement of the hearth from within the furnace to outside the furnace. SOLUTION: A hearth is divided into many hearth plates or trays, and these plates can be moved from inside the furnace to outside the furnace. There is provided a guide means for guiding the hearth plates while being contacted with the side ends of the moving hearth plates.
