PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC-PDP that can simultaneously realize optimization and brightness increase of color temperature of white color. SOLUTION: Transparent electrodes Xt and Yt are connected to mother electrodes Xb and Yb, and they also have their main parts projected into one of two unit regions AR adjacent to the first direction D1, sandwiching the mother electrodes Xb and Yb. The larger majorities have projected to alternate directions about the first direction D1. Length of the transparent electrodes Xt and Yt along the first direction D1, namely, the areas of the transparent electrodes Xt and Yt are prescribed standing on emitted colors of fluorescent layers facing the electrodes Xt and Yt, and there relationships for the magnitudes exist: (transparent electrodes Xt and Yt facing fluorescent layer 109G for green color emission)<(transparent electrodes Xt and Yt facing fluorescent layer 109R for red color emission)<(transparent electrodes Xt and Yt facing fluorescent layer 109B for blue color emission).
