PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that can configure a ring buffer having nonconsecutive blocks so as to execute operations of time delay viewing and video recording or reproduction of other channels at a high-speed at the same time with respect to a broadcast reception system that can simultaneously assist the time delay viewing and video recording and reproduction of a broadcast signal at the same time. SOLUTION: In the embodiment of this invention, blocks configuring the ring buffer are placed nonconsecutively on a disk and operated simply in a time delay viewing mode, if a video recording mode or a reproduction mode has to be executed in parallel with the time delay viewing mode, a free block closest to a block in which a video stream of a video recording channel is recorded or a free block closest to a block to be reproduced is accessed to record the video stream for the time delay viewing to the block so as to effectively execute two modes or more in parallel as the method for configuring the ring buffer.
