PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device by which the soiling on a surface is drastically reduced, which is useful to the method for development adopting the magnetic or non-magnetic one component developer, particularly the toner charged in negative polarity. SOLUTION: This developing device is equipped with a developing roller provided with a resin surface layer and performs the development by adopting the toner charged in the negative polarity. The above resin surface layer on the developing roller is composed of polyamide resin being >=50% of the whole resin quantity, and the above polyamide resin has a structure in which >=18 mol% of hydrogen forded with amide group is substituted with methoxy methyl group, and moreover molecules are cross linked, and furthermore the above resin surface layer incorporates acid catalyst <=3.0% of the whole resin quantity. |
