PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a button switch capable of easy change-over of priority between a simple operation and malfunction preventing operation. SOLUTION: The button switch 1 comprises a switch body 2 having a plurality of buttons 21, 22, 22 and a cover 3 detachable from the switch body 2, the cover 3 being able to be attached/detached so as to put a single simple operation button 21 in an exposed condition or a plurality of malfunction preventing buttons 22, 22 in exposed conditions. It is operated by depressing at least one of the exposed buttons 21, 22, 22. It is operated by pushing the two exposed buttons 22, 22 at almost the same time. The cover 3 is mounted on the switch body 2 in the state of pushing the unexposed button.
