PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of replacement of an X-ray film, to prevent the photosensitive face of the X-ray film from being damages when replacing the X-ray film, and to simplify the operation to give a prescribed discrimination code to a photographed X-ray film. SOLUTION: An X-ray film cassette is provided with a cassette main body which is shielded light by a channel-shaped cassette main body frame, a photographic face plate which is provided in the cassette main body and is made of a light-transmissive X-ray transmission material, a counter face plate which faces the photographic face plate and is flexible and light-shielding, and a light shielding plate which surrounds and covers the outer periphery of the cassette main body frame, and an X-ray film loading area is provided in the photographic face plate of the cassette main body, and an intensifying screen is arranged on this X-ray film loading area, and a sealing-up sponge having suction hole is arranged on this screen, and the counter face plate is arranged on this sponge, and the counter face plate is provided with a suction hole in a position corresponding to the suction hole of the sponge, and a cassette aperture member which opens one end part of the cassette main body is provided.
