PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide charged service of recording and printing out information contents downloaded from Web, facsimile reception information, and information stored in portable storage media. SOLUTION: In addition to a recording means for visualizing and recording, duplicating, or printing out digitized information, the recording device is equipped with a storage means which stores respective pieces of information while relating them to users, an authenticating means which receives user authentication information and authenticates a user, a charging means which calculates and charges the money needed to record information, a charge receiving means which receives money paid by a user, and a payment managing means which manages charging information and payment information by users. Only when one user pays money and is successfully authenticated, the recording means records information. While users are authenticated, the payment can be managed by the users, so the users are able to share the recording device and the charged information recording service can easily be provided. |
