The invention relates to a device for wetting the surface or parts of the surface of electronic circuits to be placed on a printed-circuit board, ceramic substrate or similar, for example a chip. A trough (1) for holding the wetting liquid is provided and has a doctor blade (3) which extends into the trough (1). The trough (1) and the doctor blade (3) can be moved in relation to each other by means of a drive mechanism (6). The depth to which the doctor blade (3) is immersed in the trough (1) is adjusted or can be adjusted in a defined manner. At least one adjusting mechanism is provided for positioning the inner floor surface of the trough (1) or its plane of motion or the plane of motion of the drive mechanism of the drive unit (6) for the trough (1) or the doctor blade (3) in an exactly horizontal plane. Said adjusting mechanism has at least one adjusting possibility, preferably two adjusting possibilities for moving about one axis (x or y) or two axes (x,y) of the co-ordinates system in space.
