An operating device (1) works directly with a wheel brake for an electromechanically operated parking brake using a force-transmission element (2). A self-releasing threaded driving mechanism (6) connects via a clutch (5) to an electric motor (3) for converting a higher dynamic ratio for the operating device, especially during release of the wheel brakes. The clutch works with a brace (7) coupled to the electric motor.
