A cap cover (3) on a nozzle support (2) of a headlight washing device is displaceably mounted in relation to the nozzle support when said nozzle support (2) is in its inserted position so that the cap cover (3) can be aligned along an edge (15) of an opening (6) in the body (7) of the automobile. When the nozzle support (2) is in its withdrawn position however, the cap cover (3) and the nozzle support (2) are interconnected with a positive fit to prevent the cap cover (3) from fluttering as a result of the currents caused by the driving wind. The positive fit is produced for example, with toothed areas (11, 12) on the cap cover (3) and a clamping part (8) connected to the nozzle support (2).
