The proposed apparatus for producing and proportioning foam, particularly lather comprises a body (G) with a cylindrical air chamber (1) with variable volume in which there is concentrically arranged a device (2) for supply of air and a liquid from a storage tank (V). The device (2) consists of a plunger (5) being driven by a control element (4) and being inserted into a chamber (6) that is provided on the suction side with a check valve (3). The air chamber (1) and the chamber (6) being provided with the check valve (3) are connected with a foam-generating chamber (8), which is connected to a channel (9) for discharge of foam. In the air chamber (1) there is arranged a piston (10) with a fixedly attached central adapter (11). In the central adapter (11) there is an air duct (14) interconnecting the foam-generating chamber (8) with the air chamber (1). Open end of said plunger (5), being directed against the foam-generating chamber (8) projects into the central adapter (11). In the air duct (14) there is arranged in front of outlet (15) thereof into the foam-generating chamber (8) at least one valve (16) for return suction of foam and connecting the air duct (14) with the foam-discharging channel (9).
