A baby carrier (110) which can be mounted on bicycle handlebars comprises a support structure (106) which can be mounted on the bicycle handlebars (102,103) and a baby-carrying element (111) which is supported by the support structure (106). The support structure (106) is designed in such a manner that the baby-carrying element extends above the bicycle handlebars (102,103). The baby carrier (110) is designed in such a manner that the baby in the baby carrier (110) has his hips/thighs in the region in the vicinity of the imaginary axis of the steering post (102) of the bicycle handlebars (102,103). Preferably, the baby-carrying element (111) is easy to remove from the support structure (106).
