PURPOSE: A method for managing multitasking by thread generation in an optical transmission system is provided to inquire system information more rapidly and exactly by reducing the load of a server using a thread generation technique so that multitasking can be achieved. CONSTITUTION: A client requests a server to transmit data through an HTTP(Hyper Text Transfer Protocol)(ST11). The server, receiving the data request, loads a thread suitable for the client's request(ST12,ST13). Once the thread is loaded in a memory of the server, the thread continuously resides at the memory until it is deleted. The thread searches the data of a database and transmits a search result to the client(ST14-ST18).
