PURPOSE: An indoor unit of split air conditioner is provided to effectively prevent deformation of and damage to the rear panel and the front panel when the front panel is detached from the rear panel. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit comprises a rear panel(110) and a front panel(120) coupled to the rear panel. The front panel has at a lower portion thereof a plurality of screw penetration holes(121), and the rear panel has at a lower portion thereof screw holes(111) corresponding to screw penetration holes. The front panel has at an upper portion thereof at least two U-shaped hooks having an inward protrusion and an elastic piece which transforms elastically in accordance with the press direction. The rear panel has at an upper portion thereof a fixing hole having a stopper corresponding to the hook of the front panel.
