PURPOSE: A method for embodying a mutual hunting function in an exchange is provided to transfer an incoming call to another hunting terminal, which is not busy, in case that the incoming call is requested to a busy hunting terminal among hunting terminals registered for a mutual hunting function. CONSTITUTION: If a digit number for the first hunting terminal is received from an originating terminal, a call control part in a full electronic telephone exchange forwards the digit number to a number translation part(201). The number translation part translates the digit number and transmits a number translation result to the call control part(202). The call control part judges whether the first hunting terminal is busy or not(203). In case that the first hunting terminal is busy, the call control part judges whether the first hunting terminal is registered for a mutual hunting function(205). If the first hunting terminal is an unregistered terminal, the call control part executes control for call gapping between the originating terminal and the first hunting terminal(206). In case that the first hunting terminal is registered for the mutual hunting function, the call control part notifies the originating terminal that communication with the second hunting terminal in an idle state is available(207). If the originating terminal accepts it, the call control part controls the incoming call so that the second hunting terminal can receive it(208).
