摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a uniform display picture and to prevent gap non-uniformity forming through thickening of a panel gap due to a liquid crystal accumulated in the picture lower part under high temperature. CONSTITUTION: When an area ratio of a post spacer 21 is large, deformation of the post spacer 21 caused by pressure applied in baking a sealant in a panel manufacturing process and in press sealing treatment after liquid crystal injection is large. When the area ratio of the post spacer 21 is increased, gap non- uniformity disappears while white unevenness in the lower edge is generated. When the area ratio of the post spacer 21 is decreased, the white unevenness in the lower edge disappears while the gap non-uniformity is generated. Consequently it is necessary to set the optimal area ratio of the post spacer 21 with respect to the gap non-uniformity and the white unevenness in the lower edge. The area of the post spacers 21, arranged inside and outside the display region of a substrate, in contact with the substrate is set to a range of 0.05-0.15% of a pixel area.
