<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamino acid-containing particle which shows excellence in water absorbing velocity, biodegradability, water retention and air permeability and is useful for a sanitary material and a soil improver. SOLUTION: A polyamino acid-containing particle having a crosslinked surface has a core/shell structure, the core being composed of a crosslinked polyamino acid-containing particle, the shell being composed of a crosslinked polyamino acid the crosslink density of which is higher than that of the polyamino acid included in the core. The method for producing the polyamino acid-containing particle having the crosslinked surface includes a process of forming a shell by further crosslinking the surface of the crosslinked polyamino acid particle.</p> |
