PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition excellent in detergency and rapid foaming properties, having high antimicrobial actions and capable of sufficiently providing pruritus preventing effects on the scalp or bodies, deodorizing effects and dandruff preventing effects on the scalp. SOLUTION: This detergent composition comprises (A) an anionic surfactant, (B) an antimicrobial agent and (C) a glyceryl ether having a 4-12C alkyl group or a 4-12C alkenyl group. The detergent composition is excellent in the detergency and rapid foaming properties, has the high antimicrobial actions and provides the sufficient pruritus preventing effects on the scalp or bodies, deodorizing effects and dendruff preventing effects on the scalp.
