PURPOSE: A belt for transferring wet paper is characterized by maintaining moisture of the wet paper with hydrophilic fiber body exposed from a surface of a wet paper side layer, not impairing durability thereof, transferring the belt attached the wet paper and separating the wet paper from the belt smoothly. CONSTITUTION: A belt for transferring wet paper is used in a press part of a close part papermaking machine. The belt comprises a base body(30), a wet paper side layer(11) and a machine side layer(12). The wet paper side layer(11) comprises a polymer elastic part and hydrophilic fiber body(20). At least a part of the hydrophilic fiber body(20) is exposed on a surface of the wet paper side layer(11). |
