PURPOSE:To make it possible to take out a large electric signal with small rigidity with respect to compression and tension, by providing specified slits on both sides of a strain yielding part, and attaching strain gages so that they are slanted at specified angles. CONSTITUTION:The central part of a strain yielding plate 1 is made to be a strain yielding part 4. Two slits 6 and 7 are formed from the opposite sides on both sides of the strain yielding part 4, so that the slits cross a segment 5 connecting attaching holes 2 and 3 at right angles. Strain gages SG1 and SG2 are attached at 45 degrees and 135 degrees with respect to the load applying direction. The height of the strain yielding part 4 is made to be 8mm. and the length thereof is made to be 8mm.. Then, the strain five times the strain of an object to be measured is yielded in a detector. Therefore, the large detected output in correspondence with the small amount of deformation of the object to be measured can be generated. Thus the strain of the object to be measured having small rigidity such as plastics can be accurately detected.
