PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desk type printer without the need of extending a hand or moving to the place where the printer is disposed for taking out a printed sheet 6E each time. SOLUTION: This printer comprises a flat desk surface 3, and a leg part 2 for supporting the desk surface 3. A sheet feeding part, a printing part and a sheet discharging part are provided below the desk surface 3. A slitlike paper discharging opening 13 is provided below the desk surface 3 on a sheet discharging line of the sheet discharging part such that a printed sheet 6E can be discharged onto the desk surface 3 through the sheet discharging opening 13.
