PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet head having pressure chambers for containing ink liquid formed by the diaphragm of an actuator section and the pressure chamber openings of a pressure chamber component in which the actuator section is bonded to the pressure chamber component while preventing adhesion of adhesive to the diaphragm. SOLUTION: A diaphragm 24 is provided with an intermediate layer 25 which is then bonded, through adhesive 14, to a pressure chamber component A having a plurality of pressure chamber openings 1. Following to the bonding process, the intermediate layer 25 is removed by etching using partition walls 2a, 2b forming the plurality of pressure chamber openings 1 of the pressure chamber component A as a mask to form a vertical wall 13 continuous to the partition walls 2a, 2b thus forming pressure chambers 2 where the diaphragm 24 faces each pressure chamber opening 1.
