PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suture needle used in suturing a lesion which is improved in strength to bending and reduced in piercing resistance. SOLUTION: The suture needle A of this invention is a curved needle having a needle tip part 1 piercing biotissue, a base end part 4 to which a suture thread is fitted, and a body part 3 formed between the needle tip part 1 and the base end part 4, which is characterized in that at least the body part is formed by a pair of flat surfaces 6 opposite to each other and a pair of grooves 5 opposite to each other in the direction of intersecting the opposite direction of the paired flat surfaces 6, the paired grooves 5 are formed by a curved surface without edges, a joint part 7 between the flat surface 6 and the groove 5 is formed by a curve surface, and the paired grooves 5 form the side surface of the needle. |
