摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which a conventional technology in which a material of metal piece is specified from a mass of the metal piece and the size of the electromotive force at the time of charging the metal piece into magnetic field by using a sorting device of a nonferrous metal obtained by crushing waste and in which excellent sorting accuracy is obtained for the crushed pieces relatively regular in particle size but sorting accuracy deteriorates when the crushed pieces having various particle sizes and shapes are treated. SOLUTION: In the identifying device provided with a mass measuring device for measuring the mass of a crushed broken piece including metal, an electromotive force measuring device having a detecting coil for measuring the variation of the electromotive force due to the crushed broken piece, a calculating device for identifying the material of the crushed broken piece based on the measured mass and the variation of the electromotive force and a sorting/ recovering device for sorting/recovering the crushed broken piece identified by the result of the calculating treatment by every material, the calculating device has a means for identifying the material of the crushed broken piece by obtaining the variation of the electromotive force per unit mass of the crushed broken piece from the mass of the crushed broken piece and the variation of the electromotive force, and comparing the obtained value with a discriminating value which is previously set to the material, and the discriminating value is set in different values by the material and mass of the crushed broken piece.
