OPTICAL PICK-UP ASSEMBLY

PURPOSE: An optical pick-up assembly is to place a main point of an objective lens at the same height as an operational center point of a tilt operation to prevent light beam from being shifted upon the tilt operation, thereby stably controlling the tilt. CONSTITUTION: An objective lens(111) is mounted on a bobbin(110). An elastic supporting portion elastically and movably supports the bobbin with respect to a holder(120) fixed to a desired base. A focus coil(112) and a tracking coil(113) are disposed at the bobbin to form a power path for driving the objective lens in a focus and tracking direction. A tilt coil(114) is disposed at the bobbin to form a power path for tilt driving of the objective lens. A plurality of magnets and yokes generate electromagnetic force for driving the objective lens, by current flowing through each coil. A position detecting sensor detects a relative angle of the objective lens with respect to a disk. A central height of the tilt coil is positioned at the same height as a main point of the objective lens. The position detecting sensor is disposed at a covering member for covering the bobbin and the holder mounted on a base(100).
