PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly detect signals while reducing the influence of ambient temperature changes. SOLUTION: For a detection/voltage conversion circuit 200 to perform a voltage conversion of an input signal level, a comparator whose threshold level is set according to the partial potential of a resistance is used. The voltage conversion using the comparator can prevent detecting and operating errors caused by ambient temperature changes, as compared with a voltage conversion using a combination of a Zener diode and a transistor as is used in circuits of the prior art. This is based on the fact that with ambient temperature changes, resistances and comparators undergo much fewer changes in characteristic than do Zener diodes and transistors, with the result that fluctuation of the signal level is inhibited.
