PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a narrow pitch connector generating no electrical short circuit between contacts even when the pitch is narrow. SOLUTION: In producing a narrow pitch connector 1 wherein the gap between adjacent contacts 3 is 0.5 mm or less by injection-molding a thermoplastic resin, a mold having resin flow channels formed thereto so as not to allow the leading ends of the flows of a molten resin divided to flow to a plurality of the flow channels by injection to meet with each other in the peripheries (shaded part) of the contacts 3 is used. In order to prevent the meeting of the resin flow around the contacts, it is preferable to provide a mechanism preventing the flow of the molten resin, for example, a pin 4 or a rid 5 to one or more place of the whole of the resin flow channels. As the resin, a thermotropic liquid crystal polyester is preferable. |
