PURPOSE: An apparatus for compensating residual amount of fuel of a fuel tank for an automobile is provided to accurately confirm the fuel amount of the fuel tank inclined according to the inclination of the automobile by using both side floats at any position, thereby improving the reliability of the product. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for confirming residual amount of fuel of a fuel tank(1) formed by installing a float within the fuel tank by the medium of a connecting rod(2), an apparatus for compensating residual amount of fuel is formed by connecting the connecting rod with a middle of a connecting part(4) of both floats(3a,3b), wherein the both floats are floated by buoyancy and separated from each other appropriately.
