PROGRAM GUIDE METHOD OF TELEVISION RECEIVER

PURPOSE: A program guide method of a television receiver is provided to easily select a program of a genre which a user' preference is high by forming a program guide table according to a frequency of a genre which a user saw and listened. CONSTITUTION: A viewing and listening frequency by a user' genres is accumulated(S202). Genres are arranged in an order from the highest frequency to a lowest frequency by comparing accumulating value with one another(S204). When a program guide command is applied to, viewing and listening possible programs and program guide information transmitted from each broadcasting station are displayed according to genres and a period of time arranged as the order of a viewing and listening frequency(S206). A user selects a genre. The displaying step is performed to include the genre selected by the user.
