PURPOSE: A sintered type cathode for an electron tube is provided to extend durability, to improve electron emission characteristic, to have stable electron emission characteristics at high density current, and to reduce expenses by using electron emission material. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of alkaline earth metal oxide is selected from group to be composed of sleeve(22), cup(26) equipped inside sleeve(22) , barium oxide inside cup(26), strontium oxide, and calcium oxide. A pellet(25) is composed of reductive material for metal oxide, electron emission material including barium compound oxide and indium-tin oxide. Content of barium compound oxide is 0.1 to 30 weight percentage in base of total quantity of alkaline earth metal oxide. Content of indium-tin oxide is 0.01 to 10 weight percentage in base of total quantity of alkaline earth metal oxide. Reductive material includes more than one of metal to be selected from group that is composed of Ni, W, Mg, Si and Al.
