PURPOSE: An optical disk is provided for recording data of a signal modulated according to a predetermined modulation method in a form of concavo-convex pits. CONSTITUTION: A first area(2) from which a reflection film is partially removed and a second area(3) with a pit different from the pit satisfying a prescribed modulation system recorded thereon are provided on the optical disk(1) with the signals modulated with the prescribed modulation system recorded thereon by rugged pit. At this time, the first area(2) from which the reflection film is partially removed incorporates a part with the reflection film removed and with a length longer than the longest pit length decided by the modulation system in the circumferential direction. When the optical disk(1) is transferred physically as it is, the physical copy of the optical disk(1) is prevented using the difference between the combination of the regenerative signals of the first area(2) and the second area(3).
