PURPOSE: An apparatus for a tape tension of a VCR is provided to preserve a tension of a tape constantly by forming a board of a wave shape and inserting a lubricant medium. CONSTITUTION: A supply reel(51) is driven by a driving power of a recovery reel and supplies a tape. A tension band(53) is contacted with an outer circumference of the supply reel(51) to enable a tape to have a regular tension and controls a rotation speed of the supply reel(51). Boards of a wave shape(51a,53a) are formed on a contact side of the supply reel(51) and the tension band(53). A lubricant medium(57) is inserted between the supply reel(51) and the tension band(53) to prevent the supply reel(51) and the tension band(53) from wearing.
