PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new adamantane derivative useful e.g. as a raw material for dental material. SOLUTION: The objective adamantane derivative is expressed by formula (1) [R1 is H or methyl; R2a and R2b are each independently H or methyl; A1 and A2 are each independently C(=O)-O or O-C(=O) (each group is bonded to the adamantane ring at the right side); and X1 and X2 are each independently a 1-12C straight or branched-chain alkylene].
