PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope with a small outer diameter, preventing an objective lens system from being damaged without generating a flare even if an external force is applied to the top of the endoscope. SOLUTION: A CCD 12 and an objective lens for forming an image of the reflected light from a target part on the CCD are disposed at the tip 1 to be juxtaposed with an illumination light guide fiber 4 for illuminating the target part and a forceps channel 3. The objective lens is held by a metal top frame 5. The top face of the endoscope is covered with a resin top cover 6. A space among the CCD 12, the light guide fiber 4 and the forceps channel 3 is filled a light shielding resin 17.
