PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-price optical element, capable of reducing the volume contraction of resin and double refractivity after molding and being simultaneously molded in a large amount with high quality, and to provide a method for manufacturing the optical element. SOLUTION: For this optical element, a thermosetting resin or photosetting resin material is filled in a die and then set and molded, while keeping a pressurized state.
