PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a matched filter(MF) for code division multiple access(CDMA) by reducing its forming area. SOLUTION: The matched filter, which uses a differential coefficient sequence to apply inverse spread to a spread spectrum signal and filters the spread spectrum signal, is configured with a differential sequence of a coefficient sequence consisting of a product between a prescribed coefficient sequence and a prescribed code sequence. In the coefficient sequence having a very high correlation with a square wave of a period of 4 (repetition of [+1, +1, -1, -1]), the product between the sequence and the square wave has less transition than the original sequence. Applying a differential technology to the sequence obtained by multiplying the square wave with the coefficient sequence can obtain many zero-taps than the case with application of the differential technology to the original coefficient sequence. As a result, the number of entries to an adder tree can be decreased. |
