PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for a human body detector which does not requires readjustment of the detection range when batteries are exchanged. SOLUTION: This detector is provided with a main body 1 incorporating pyroelectric elements 16a and 16b for detecting a human body and a battery 3 for operating the elements 16a and 16b and a base 7 for fixing the body 1 to a wall, etc., the elements 16a and 16b are formed in a freely rotatable way inside the body 1, and the battery 3 is fixed to the body 1. The elements 16a and 16b are also provided in a rotating body 8, almost cylindrical rotating shafts 8b and 8c are provided projectingly at both side end parts of the body 8, and the body 1 is provided with a support hole 1ga and supporting parts 1ga and 4da supporting the shafts 8b and 8c in a rotatable way. An almost semicircular gear 8a is provided projectingly on the surface of the body 8, the body 1 is provided with a locking part 17b made of an elastic body, and the part 17b tacks the body 8a.
