PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head capable of highly accurately adjusting the resistance value of the magnetic head having a magneto-resistance effect element, a rotary magnetic head using the same, and a magnetic head manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This magnetic head is provided with a magneto-resistance effect element 26, and a conductor as an electrode. The conductor is arranged to keep constant its distance to the end of the magnetic head and, on a surface having the conductor arranged, this end constitutes a magnetic head 20 provided with a groove cut part 24a forming the butting width of a recording medium, both side parts 20a and 20a of the magnetic head, and a magnetic head bottom part 20b.
