PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting method of position of a print head, in which adjustment of the position of the LED print head in a defocusing direction can be carried out after an image forming device is assembled. SOLUTION: In the adjusting method of position of a print head, a toner image of a line image pattern is formed on a photoreceptor drum by forming an electrostatic latent image of the line image pattern on the photoreceptor drum by the LED print head, width of a line of the toner image of the line image pattern for med on the photoreceptor drum is detected and the position of the LED print head in the defocusing direction is adjusted so that the width of the line of the detected toner image is within a prescribed value by controlling a print head position adjustment mechanism based on the width of the line of the detected toner image.
