PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing an electrophotographic photoreceptor having adhesiveness to the photosensitive layer, high surface hardness, high wear and scuffing resistances, having stable electrophotographic characteristics even at a high temperature and a high humidity in repetitive use and repeatedly giving a good image, and to provide and electrophotographic image forming method using the photoreceptor, an electrophotographic image forming device and a process cartridge. SOLUTION: In the production of the electrophotographic photoreceptor with a resin layer formed by applying and drying a coating fluid composition containing at least an electric charge transferring compound and an organosilicon compound having an alkoxy group as a hydrolyzable group, the water content of the coating fluid composition is adjusted to the range of 0.1<=X<=20.
